The 8th Filmmor International Women’s Film Festival on Wheel  will take place in Istanbul, Kars and Sinop between March 12 and April 18, 2010.

This year, fifty-three films from 20 countries will be featured at the Filmmor International Women’s Film Festival on Wheel. Istanbul section of the festival will run from March 12 to 21.. Eastern city of Kars will host the festival on April 10-11. The festival will travel to northern city of Sinop for the last screenings on April 17-18. Turkih films will be screened with English subtitle.

The French Cultural Center, the Goethe Institut and the Istanbul Modern movie theaters will host the event in Istanbul. Women's films from Turkey will also be screened in the Creteil International Women's Film Festival (Le Festival International de Films de Femmes) between March 31 and April 6.

The festival aims to submit films on women to more audiences, to enable women who have limited conditions to go to movies, watch films, to increase the visibility of women, women's experiences, accomplishments and products as well as their problems, to increase women's possibilities of sharing their experiences in national and international levels and to contribute to women's cultural and democratic participation.

The festival includes some special parts for themes like "violence towards women" and "honor", the part of women's cinema, cumulative presentations, conversations, panel and workshops.
